Branding for a theater production company that promotes female-led and LGBTQ+ productions.
With the goal of female empowerment in mind, a sunflower is used as the main motif since they were historically representative of the suffragette movement and women’s rights. Calligraphy and floral motifs were also incorporated to take something that is unassuming and dainty and transform it into something of power.
Additionally, the use of red as a secondary color makes the sunflower logo transform into poppy. Poppies are pretty, but deadly and dangerous – just like how women should not be overlooked.
